THE CONCEPT OF YACHT MANAGEMENT

Millionaires or big investors are not the only proud owners of private yachts. Yacht ownership can be an exhilarating and simultaneously rewarding investment. If you own a yacht under KIRIACOULIS management, you can sail your yacht without worrying about the costs of the insurance, marina, spare parts and maintenance.

You can leave all the costs related to your yacht and the corresponding trouble to us; the only worry left to you is scheduling the period and the area of your holidays.

To buy a yacht and keep it private is very expensive. It costs a lot more to maintain and keep the yacht in good condition. Furthermore, the owner can sail only within certain navigation limits!

When you buy a yacht through a KIRIACOULIS management plan, you save all the expenses and you have the opportunity to sail from 25 departure bases within the Mediterranean & the Caribbean, while at the same time you have an income. Therefore, why don’t you leave it to the professionals, who guarantee that having a yacht is not a source of extra costs and trouble but a source of extra income and fun?

YACHT MANAGEMENT PROJECT

KIRIACOULIS offers basically 3 projects of yacht management for your yacht:

In Project No 1, you advance the value of your yacht.
In Project No 2, you advance only a part of the value of your yacht.
In Project No 3, the risk and profits of yacht’s operation, is shared between you and KIRIACOULIS.

All projects have duration between 3 1/2 and 6 1/2 years and the yacht management ends by the 30th of October for the Mediterranean and by the 30th of April for the Caribbean.

The duration of the contract can be adjusted according to your needs

In the projects No1 and No2, Kiriacoulis undertakes all the expenses for the operation of your Yacht:

The commercial costs for the marketing of your yacht, i.e. brochures, advertisement, boat shows and all relative costs
The cost of services, i.e. reception of the clients, inventories, check-in & check-out, preparation of the yacht, technical assistance during the cruises
The technical costs, i.e. running maintenance, repairs, spare parts, winter maintenance and antifouling
Insurance of the yacht covering all risks
Mooring fees

PROJECT No 1
In this program, in which you have fully advanced the value of your yacht, we pay you for every year of management, a percentage out of the purchase value of your yacht excluding taxes.

PROJECT No 2
In this program, for minimizing the funds necessary for the purchase of your yacht, we require a single payment (out of the purchase value, ex. taxes).
A credit with our bankers is arranged for the rest of the value of your yacht. The only guarantee required from you is a nautical mortgage on your yacht.
KIRIACOULIS Co. will repay this credit plus interests to the bank within the duration of the management of the yacht.
At the end of the management period the full ownership will be transferred to you free of any debts.

PROJECT No 2 “SPECIAL FRANCE”
This project is identical with the project No 2, but it is valid only for France.
According to which the required single payment (purchase value, ex taxes) is 50% for the period of 5 1/2 years and 60% for the period of 3 1/2 years, for Bavaria and Dufour yachts of project No 2 but you are liable to pay annually the insurance and the mooring fees.

PROJECT No 3
In this program, no matter through which financial procedure you have bought the yacht from us (full or partial payment), we guarantee a minimum chartering period of your yacht of 90 weeks within the 5 1/2 years of management.
In this project the costs are:
a. 30% on the charter contracts value, which pays for the commercial costs of marketing your yacht, i.e. brochures, advertisement, boat shows, and all relative costs.
b. A flat fee which depends on the yacht’s location and size for the cost of services, i.e. reception of the clients, inventories, check in / check out, preparing of the yacht, technical assistance during the cruises.
All other costs such as insurance, place in the port, spare parts, repairs, winter maintenance, antifouling etc., are on your charge and control. Within this program your net income from charter is not fixed because it depends on:
a. The Number of booked weeks
b. The Volume of expenses of the yacht, which means that you participate in the risks and profits of good or less good charter seasons, however you participate fully in the risks and profits of the whole management.

THE FINANCE OF YOUR YACHT
In project No 2, a finance possibility requiring a 30% minimum down payment & in project No 3, a 38% minimum down payment is also offered. The remaining value can be financed up to a 5 1/2 years period (5 years in project No 3) in six-monthly equal installments with annual interest rate of 7% in EURO.

PERSONAL USE OF YOUR YACHT
The number of weeks you may use your own yacht (or similar) depends on the season you choose (high, mid, low). They are 6 weeks in low season or 3 weeks in mid season or 2 weeks in the high season. A combination between the seasons is also possible.
Additionally you can take up to a further 4 weeks of short notice use each year, out of which the 2 weeks must be used only on your own yacht and the other 2 on any similar (or smaller) available yacht of the entire fleet.
To qualify as short notice use the reservation/booking must be made maximum 8 days (for yachts in the Med) or 16 days (for yachts in the Caribbean) prior to departure, and is of course subject always to the availability of the yachts.
Above conditions are valid only for projects No 1 and 2. For project No 3 the owner uses are restricted only to your own yacht.

The costs of use to be charged to you are only:

a. EURO 153 for each departure for our administration and yacht preparation costs

b. The cost for the purchase of the security deposit

c. The costs of any options required.

If you would wish additional guaranteed weeks of use, this is also possible at a charge as per our charter pricelist valid each time minus a 40% discount specially granted to you.
For low season, extra guaranteed weeks of use are possible to be arranged without cost.
On the other hand if you do not wish to use your yacht at all, it is possible to offer you better financial conditions, upon request.

END OF THE MANAGEMENT
In the end of the Management plan, you may either decide to extend the management of your yacht with KIRIACOULIS under similar conditions or you may decide to sell it (our sales department is at your disposal to arrange the best possible conditions). We can even exchange it over a new yacht. Of course there is always the option to keep it as your own private yacht.
To be noted that all stipulated prices of the yachts are ex VAT, however a VAT may be required to be paid at the end of management over the yacht’s residual value.
Our staff can still maintain it and arrange, what you might feel appropriate to your yacht.
In the end of the management, the yacht and its equipment are delivered to you, in good working condition, in the same shape as they were new with the extension of the natural wear. You will also get a set of sails not more than one year old.
