THE KIRIACOULIS GROUP of companies appeared in the horizon of
Yachting & Tourism activities in 1980, founded by Mr. Stavros KIRIACOULIS.
The backbone of the group consists of “KIRIACOULIS
MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES SHIPPING S.A.” and “KIRIACOULIS
MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES SHIPPING SOLE SHAREHOLDER CO. LTD”.
The Group has introduced a number of innovations in Yachting
and Cruises Industry, by creating new markets and through the introduction of new
services like flotillas, bareboat chartering, crew chartering etc. Furthermore,
it is the only Greek Group which has expanded its operations abroad, in the Caribbean,
Turkey, Croatia, Italy, France and Malta, with a fleet of approx. 400 yachts of all kinds;
sailing yachts and catamarans, owned or exclusively managed. Of the twenty-six subject
bases, seven operate in Greece (Athens-Kos-Rhodes-Corfu-Lefkas-Skiathos-Paros), six in
Italy (Puntone-Sant Agata-Portisco-Agropoli-Marsala-Grado), seven in Croatia
(Pula-Trogir-Baska Voda-Biograd-Zadar-Split-Tucepi), two in Turkey (Marmaris-Bodrum), two in the
Caribbean (Martinique-St. Lucia), one in France (Bormes les Mimosas) and another one
in Malta (Birgu). This broad geographic coverage has been rewarded by a great number of
loyal clients, who repeatedly take advantage of the privileges the Group renders them.
Today the “KIRIACOULIS MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES SHIPPING S.A.” Group of companies is active in three sectors:
The Group is active in the Professional Sea Tourism sector through the Parent Company, 8 subsidiaries and 1 associate company.
In the Marinas Management sector the Group is active through 5 subsidiaries, associates and other companies, in which it has a participating interest, holding a leading position in Greece, as it controls 16% of total berths, while the rest is controlled by the Greek State and other companies. The main benefits that the Group derives from its activities in the Marinas management sector are that it is able to ensure berths for its fleet, control its moorings and maintenance costs, ensure safe docking conditions and in general the Group strengthens its competitiveness in the sea tourism sector.
In the real estate and constructions business, the Group was active in 2008 through one subsidiary company. The projects in progress of the latter concern the construction of two apartment buildings in Marousi, a complex of maisonetts in Vari Attica and the construction of an apartment building on a self-owned property in Kaminia Piraeus.
The Group has spared no expense and effort in keeping a high standard fleet, financing the never-ending training of the crews and the company’s staff and pursuing the improvement of the offered services to achieve today’s results. KIRIACOULIS MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES SHIPPING S.A. is a public limited company (“societe anonyme”) and is the parent company of the Group. The company’s shares were listed on the Parallel Market of the Athens Stock Exchange on 10 April 1998.
Pursuant to the new Regulation of the Athens Exchange which has been in force since 28 November 2005 the shares are traded on the Securities Market in the category “Medium and Small Capitalization” under the symbol “KYRI”. The Company's share participates in the composition of FTSE/Athex Small Cup 80 Index since the session of 2 June 2008.
